Education is a precious resource for every human being and the children of Africa should not be deprived of the inalienable right to school education.
We support the operation of educational facilities, we procure for the equipment there of, we financially support pupils and students for the completion of their studies and we organize training seminars (learning foreign languages and computer science, seminars for clergy, liturgical music courses).
In Tanzania, from the first school steps, education is paid, a fact that is a brake on enrolling children from poor families in any level of education. With the assistance of our Association, pupils and students are financially supported, through scholarships, for the completion of their studies. It is not worthy that many of these children excel in their studies.

Educational Sponsorship Programs
The Missionary Shelter of Saint Dionysios of Olympus has established educational sponsorship programs for middle school and high school students, as well as university students, in the Diocese of Arusha and Central Tanzania. Children are the future of Africa — and of the whole world! Let us offer them a better future…
Tanzania’s educational system, following the British model (as the country was once a British colony), requires the payment of tuition fees at all levels of education. This reality becomes a major obstacle for thousands of children who either drop out of school or never enroll at all, as their families are unable to meet the financial demands.
Many members of our Association, as well as friends of the Mission in Greece and abroad, have expressed a desire to financially support certain children who are active within our Church. They believe that all children should have equal opportunities in education. Sharing in the cry for help from the children of Tanzania for a better “tomorrow,” we created educational sponsorship programs that cover tuition fees, the purchase of school supplies, and the students’ daily meals.
Below are the monthly sponsorship costs for each educational level:
- Primary School: €60 / month
- Middle & High School: €75 / month
- University: €100 / month
