Holy Easter, the Festival of Festivals, was celebrated with overwhelming splendor in the Holy Diocese of Arusha and Central Tanzania. Christ has risen resounded in all parishes. Both young and old tasted the joy of the Resurrection and everyone’s faces spontaneously filled with light. Grief and sadness gave way to hope and smiles. Hope for a better tomorrow, for a life renewed in Christ’s name!
Our brothers all sang Christ has risen in Swahili and in Greek, which lasted all night in an atmosphere of festivity. The blessed Archbishop of Alexandria, Mr. Theodorou shared the Easter message of our Lord to all corners of Central Tanzania.
After the Divine Liturgy at the Iringa Missionary Centre, a banquet was held for all believers, amongst whom were hundreds of children. Many were our brothers and sisters who wanted to participate in the Easter banquet for the natives of Central Tanzania by donating money in memory of their loved ones or for their health. The Easter meal was an offering by:
