The love meals at the Holy Diocese of Arusha are now a tradition, which is constantly supported by the members of the Missionary Shelter of St. Dionysius of Olympus. After the Divine Liturgy, group meals are always served, as happened in the Church of the first centuries, and food is distributed to our needy brothers and sisters, to families and to young children that come to the Mission Center. Surprisingly, many of our members choose to commemorate their dead by making donations for meals to our needy African brothers and sisters. This act is characterized as beneficial for the soul, as souls enjoy real rest when the offering thatone offers comes of his/her poverty, that is intended for their memory, is invested in such a charitable act. Specifically, the following meals-memorial services recently were offered by:
- AthanasiaTraka, in memory of his mother Anna.
- Fotini from Katerini, in memory of Ioannis and relatives.
