Christmas in Tanzania

The festivity of the incarnation of The God was celebrated in every corner on the earth. The hymn “Christ is Born, Glorify Him…” was chanted in every remote area and our brothers shivered of joy, such as the shepherds, that were the first to listen the cheerful announcement by the angels.

Our Mission Centre in Kidamali, Iringa was transformed into a Nativity where The Christ were born today, spreading joy and hope to the souls of all the believers. During the Holy Liturgy, His Eminence Bishop Agathonikos of Arousa and Central Tanzania, proceeded to the ordainment of the monk Evmenios and defined as reader the young server of the lectern Avgoustinos. We wish that the Holy newborn that was born today for our salvation, will be also born in the souls of the new server Evmenios and reader Avgoustinos, in order to serve their Church and their Bishops. His Eminence Bishop Agathonikos of Arousa in Tanzania conveyed a message for love and peace, while wished that this Christmas will overflow our hearts with light and love of Christ. He also thanked once more for the physical and mental support at the Mission Centre in Tanzania.

After the Liturgy, it was offered a festive meal at the yard of the Mission Centre, as also at the village Kipera. The meals were an offer of our brothers:

Vogiatzis Aggelos in health of Dimitrios and Isidora

Partsenidis Christos in loving memory of Panagiotis

Mrs Despoina from Heraklion, Creete in health of Despoina and Evangelia and in loving memory of her relatives.
