In order to find the financial assistance, to promote the work of the Association and to spiritually support the members, the events and actions of various content that are held, which constitute occasions for meeting of the members and supporters of the missionary and charitable work.
Clergy gatherings and tributes
The Holy Metropolis of Kitros, Katerini and Platamon is also a supporter of the great work of the Mission, with constant supportive presence for our Association. His Eminence Georgios, the Metropolitan of Kitros, Honorary President of our Association, embraced the work from the first moment, having himself the experience of the Mission and acknowledging the spiritual and charitable nature of the orthodox missions. Through clergy gatherings, informative seminars and special events, the Holy Metropolis of Kitros supports the work of the Association and the Holy Diocese of Arusha and Central Tanzania, in a co-journey to spread the Gospel, with the humble thought that “a Church is either Missionary or does not exist!”.
Evening speeches
A) A social evening with Most Reverend Bishop Athanasios, the Metropolitan of Limassol, who is a supporter in the work of the Mission and of our Association, being the speaker. The work that, by the grace of God, he performs at the great island of Cyprus, is huge, with spiritual and charitable magnitude, having as a leading action the “Agia Skepi Therapeutic Community”.
B) An evening gathering having as speaker with the Very Reverend Archimandrite Ephraim, Abbot of the Holy Great Monastery of Vatopaidi, being the main speaker, who firmly supports the work of the Mission in Central Tanzania showing with great love for His Grace Bishop Agathonikos of Arusha and Central Tanzania. Besides, the huge spiritual and charitable contribution is known of the Holy Monastery of Vatopaidi, which over the centuries, has always had two steady pillars of action, hesychasm and mission.
Gatherings at the Holy Monastery of St. Dionysius of Olympus
The Holy Monastery of St. Dionysius, the Monastery of the repentance of His Grace Bishop Agathonikos of Arusha and Central Tanzania, where it is also there gistered set a of our Association, with the interest and the love of the Abbot there of, Elder Maximos, and of the rest of the fathers, within the framework of the speeches held every Sunday at the archontariki of the Monastery, dedicates many speeches to the work and the value of the Mission, and in particular to the work done at the Holy Diocese of Arusha and Central Tanzania with the assistance of our Association. Infact, the Elder himself having the experience of the Mission, he carries out a constant struggle for the spreading of the flame that is burning out of love for the work of the Church and for the fellow human beings throughout the world!
Events in collaboration with other organizations
Within the framework of holding various events and actions, we have developed a collaboration with the Music School of Katerini, the “St. Dionysius of Olympus” Byzantine Music and Traditional Instruments School of the Holy Metropolis of Kitros, the “St. Dionysius of Olympus” Byzantine Chanters Association, the House for the Education and Creative Activities of the Katerini Region (SEDAP) and the Association for the Voluntary Service for Homeless of Thessaloniki, thus providing the opportunity to other people, of various ages, to get to know the work of our Association and to taste the joy of offering and volunteering in the fight to heal the daily “wounds” of our distressed brothers!
