Moreover, on Saturday 19 September an assembly of Priests was held at the Diocese of Bukoba, during which his Grace Bishop Agathonikos of Arusha and Central Tanzania, locum tenens of the Diocese, appointed the new General Patriarchal Commissioner of Bukoba, Archimandrite Chrysostomos Maidonis, and thanked the priests for their admirable cooperation during that year of his tenure while being the Locum Tenens. It should be noted that it was with the initiatives of his Grace Bishop Agathonikos that the priests of the Bukoba Diocese declared their commitment to the Patriarchate of Alexandria and gave a testimony of unity for the continuation of the salvation work of the Church! Fr. Chrysostomos is accompanied by Fr. Damaskinos from the Holy Monastery of Gregoriou of Mount Athos and Sister Paraskevi, a nun from the Holy Monastery of St. Kosmas the Aetolian of Arnea.
