The Missionary Shelter of Saint Dionysios of Olympus continues to offer tangible support to the children of Tanzania, guided by the love of Christ and the vision of a better tomorrow.
Recently, with the blessing of His Grace Bishop Agathonikos of Arusha and Central Tanzania, and the invaluable contribution of the missionary team from Stuttgart, Germany—led by the devout Mrs. Sara Amanatidou—school bags, uniforms, shoes, notebooks, stationery, as well as sweets such as cookies and lollipops were distributed in two particularly poor areas of the Iringa province. Specifically, nuns from the Holy Monastery of Archangel Michael, priests, and the volunteer Mr. Georgios Liakos visited the primary school and parish of Prophet Elias in the village of Mafoulouto, as well as the children of the Malizanga settlement, spreading joy and smiles.
The young students, despite many hardships and limited resources, struggle daily for a better future. Education is the key to change, and each school bag, each notebook, each uniform given is a promise: That these children are not alone. They have all of us by their side. They have a global family—the Church—that cares, that reaches out beyond borders, colors, and languages.
With faith, love, and cooperation, we can offer them the most precious gift: Hope. And where there is hope, dreams take root, life blossoms, and a brighter tomorrow is built.
Let us continue, all together, with the same strength!
