“Love knows no borders.”

Our association, the Missionary Shelter of Saint Dionysios of Olympus, with love for our fellow human beings, continues to actively support the charitable work of the Holy Diocese of Arusha and Central Tanzania.

With the help of our members and donors, we offered yet another meal of love, this time in the remote village of Imbogo, on the occasion of the feast day of the Church of Saint John the Theologian.

A large number of faithful from the surrounding villages gathered at the Holy Church to attend the Divine Liturgy and celebrate this sacred day together. And just as the Word of God nourishes souls, so too did the love of our brothers and sisters from Greece ensure that no one remained hungry.

From the meal of love organized after the Divine Liturgy, hundreds of our brothers and sisters enjoyed a simple, warm meal — a meal that carried behind it prayer and offering.

These meals are not only acts of charity. They are the simplest yet most essential way to show that we remember, that we empathize, that we care. They are a tangible expression of unity in Christ.

The meals were offered:

  • By Konstantinos Veniotis, in memory of Evangelos and Dimitrios
  • By Nikolaos Stamboulis, for the repose of Charalambos
  • By anonymous donors, for the repose of Ioannis and ChristosNikolaos and Fani.

May God grant the devout donors health, strength, and spiritual progress, and may He rest the souls of their beloved ones.

Their love crossed oceans and reached the hearts of people they have never met — yet who felt their presence through a plate of food.

Let us all continue to support the mission, for every act of love, no matter how small it may seem, holds immeasurable value.
