Christmas Celebration at Our Missionary Center

In a festive atmosphere, the Christmas celebration of the Catechetical Schools of the Holy Metropolis of Arusha took place at the Missionary Center in Kindamali. This event, dedicated to the children and youth of the region, provided a special opportunity to come together in the celebration of the joyous event of Christ’s Nativity.

The Missionary Center was filled with children of all ages, who arrived with their parents from the surrounding area. All together, like one big family, they participated in the celebration that the Metropolis organizes every year with particular love and care. The celebration was attended by His Eminence Metropolitan Agathonikos of Arusha, along with priests, nuns, catechists, and catechist teachers.

As Christmas carols echoed—sung both in Greek and Swahili—everyone’s hearts were filled with exultation. Two languages, one faith; two cultures, one shared joy. The message of the Birth of the God-Man was proclaimed by the voices of the young children, united in a common hymn of praise.

A moment of special rejoicing was the distribution of festive gifts by His Eminence. Each child and adult received a festive bag. Small children were given chocolates and lollipops, students received sweets and school supplies, while adults were given hygiene items and food. Everyone, without distinction, became a recipient of the love and care of the Holy Metropolis.

The gifts were the fruit of the love and generous donations of Mr. Christos Iatrou, Mrs. Eleni Savva, and Mrs. Theano Mavridou. Their generosity brought smiles and hope to the people of the region.

This celebration marked another milestone in the missionary and educational work of the Holy Metropolis of Arusha, highlighting its care for the children and students of the region. Through everyone’s participation, it was confirmed that the Church supports education and provides hope in the daily lives of people.

May the Christ who was born continue to inspire and strengthen the work of the Holy Metropolis, granting strength and hope to all those who serve and participate in it.
